When I was 3, I had lofty aspirations to grow up to be a “Mama Princess,” which is cute for “Queen.” Had I embraced my prodigious creative naming prowess sooner, I might have avoided the Great Meltdown of 2011™ when I performed the tantrum that convinced my parents Musical Theatre would be a good pursuit for me in college. 

It only took 2 unnecessary semesters of music theory and a “C” in piano to decide Public Relations sounded fun?!

After that, my resume became unrecognizable. My accomplishments included: “adequate face painter” and “dog, dog, or dog balloon animal twister.” 



Surprise, Mom and Dad! I landed my lifelong dream job as a princess

…for kid parties. The result of “networking” in class ;) Parents paid oodles for a ball gown & a birthday song, so I pitched myself a new plan – learn how to speak “parent.”

Parents were my first target audience, and I played them like a fiddle.
As convincing as I was as an off-brand Belle, all that character work made me one helluva copywriter. Ahhh, a tale as old as time. Since then, I’ve been the beauty and the brains behind numerous funny brands serious about business. Armed with wit, wordplay and comedic timing, I specialize in conceptual positioning, naming, brand voice development, copywriting, and creative PR strategies.

Well, that's not a question... but The Title Package is best for 1-off offers, or smaller ticket things. The Total Package is best for company or hero product naming -- aka you're rebranding or launching something that needs its own identity. The main difference? The Total Package goes beyond a name. You'll walk away with a tagline, word bank, new messaging angles, and most importantly a compelling behind-the-name brand story so you don't have to say "oh some girl named it, and I liked it."

What's an Improv Hour?

The gateway drug to working with me. :) 1 hour to focus on 1 thing. We can dial in your messaging, talk content angles, live edit copy or - the piece de resistance - namestorm. BUT READ THIS - Improv Hour is NOT a naming package. You bring names for me to vet and I'll bring strategies for us to generate new name ideas.

Can I hire you to write my website and/or launch copy? 

That's a very strong maybe depending on availability. Returning clients "unlock" special VIP copy offers - a done-in-a-day option for smaller projects, or a VIP Week for bigger stuff. Retainer clients get preferential treatment - ie - copy prioritized above everything and everyone for the duration of the retainer. If we haven't worked together before OR if we have -- another *very* popular option is to co-write your copy together during an Improv Hour. (Wouldn't recommend that for web or launch buuuuut for other stuff.)
